View this post on Instagram Happy News!! Aengus, the cute little roo from the Greensboro shelter who had lost all his hens was adopted!! With the help from a super kind person willing to transport him, this sweetie made it to the wonderful @sanctuary_farm_everlasting_car!!! Here is what they said about him: . Meet Aengus, named for the Celtic God of love! He also came to us yesterday via transporter Lexie of Pearl's Preserve from a shelter where his hens has been adopted out but he had been left by his lonesome. Aengus, currently enjoying gourmet chicken treats from our Amazon Wish list, of meal worms, oats, peanuts & raisins, awoke this morning in his own coop inside of Rooster Village. I'm being less stringent with his quarantine because he's clearly in great shape & weight, bug free & because I'm running out of private quarantine space! He still won't be allowed to have direct contact (or his litter) with any other bachelor's for a couple of weeks but then I'm hoping to introduce 1 or 2 roos to him to form their own bachelor flocks. In the meantime, this boy is love on toast! He was sooo happy to get out of that shelter & seems to be treating all new experiences like an adventure! I already love him so much! Today I need rest. My body hurts, my hand's back in a brace, my mind is fuzzy, Amanda broke her finger & was so tired from driving home that she didn't get it fixed till a bit ago. We all need some rest. So I'll tell u more tomorrow.
