View this post on Instagram Happy Update! . Romeo (formally known as Barney) was adopted from the Richardson Animal Shelter by Stephanie Snider! Thankfully, Heather Kurlinski was kind enough to transport him from the shelter to her. He sat quietly in Heather's lap the entire (2 hour) car ride! . Due to unknown trauma which occurred just prior to his getting surrendered to the shelter, he is missing the top portion of his beak and part of his comb. Because of this, Romeo is currently living inside as a house chicken, so that Stephanie can keep a watchful eye on him. He is also receiving special meals to help make it easier for him to eat (and remain hydrated). . Romeo is very happy at his wonderful new home, where he is being well looked after and loved! ?????? Thank you Stephanie for opening your heart to him, and Heather for helping transport him! A post shared by Adopt a Bird Network (@adoptabirdnetwork) on Apr 10, 2019 at 6:06pm PDT
