He looks to be an older guy with lots of callouses on his feet. He had holes punched in the webbing of his feet by the breeder. His comb and wattles have been sliced off to prevent injury during fights. He’s been trained and drugged to cause damage. His spurs are sawed off and blades attached to kill his opponent. He was seized and taken for animal cruelty. And even after all that he has been through, he was supposed to be euthanized three days ago. . But he’s safe now. He’s a big old softie who managed to escape during the car ride and sat looking out at the world wondering where he was going. At every overpass or bridge he ducked. When I gave him food, he gave it to his girlfriend instead. His behavior toward other roosters of fighting has been trained into him and he does it out of fear. Because here he is, not a mean bone in his body.
