Union, MO – Introducing Big Red (ID A720079) and his buddy, Papriko (ID A720086)! These poor dudes had all their girls adopted away from them. WHY do shelters allow this to keep happening? They allow parakeets and every other animal species to stay together when they are bonded, except for chickens and ducks. It’s really not fair. Anyways, these sweethearts need a nice home, either separate or together but since they probably get along together and they would make a great starter bachelor flock! If you would like more information about how to start a bachelor flock we host webinars every month on the subject, just check in on our Events page on FB - Please consider opening your heart to them, and provide them a happy, no-kill, forever home they deserve!
*If you adopt them, please let Adopt a Bird Network know!
*Birds cannot be shipped, they must be adopted in person.
*Since chickens have an excessive number of wild and domestic animals who want to eat them, it is your responsibility to protect them. To learn about predator-proofing and some tips on how to do it, please refer to this infographic -
*If you’re interested in adopting this bird(s), please contact the shelter using the information provided below.
