Douglas

Douglas photo
Novelty, OH – Introducing Douglas! Douglas is a young rooster who came from Cleveland City Kennels. He was found on the side of a highway with another rooster and a hen. Douglas is a cornish-cross rooster who needs a home where he can live out his life no matter how short or long it may be: He has been bred to grow at an extremely fast rate so that he could be butchered at a young age, so his body can't always handle the weight into adulthood. Even at Rescue Village on a restricted diet and access to fresh air and exercise, his lifespan cannot be guaranteed due to the higher risk of heart conditions or physical lameness due to his size. Please consider opening your heart to him, and providing him a happy, no-kill, forever home he deserves!
*If you are interested in setting up an appointment to meet him, please send an email and adoption application to: barn@rescuevillage.org. Download an adoption application here: http://media.wix.com/ugd/135e4b_8c5d01bc081c426c9951ffe741101c95.pdf
.
*If you adopt him, please let Adopt a Bird Network know!
.
*Birds cannot be shipped, they must be adopted in person.
