Leonardo, NJ - Introducing Ollie! Ollie (ID 12882257) is a male conure who is not a huge fan of kids. Ollie is not phased by dogs. He has never been around cats. Ollie prefers females over males. He acts a bit hostile in his cage to people he doesn't know or like. He will bite if he feels threatened. Since arriving at the rescue, he has grown his confidence and will now come out of his cage right away, He steps up nicely to his female foster mom and will ride around on her shoulder for hours if she let him. He has been known to pluck when he gets nervous so should be adopted to a calm forever home. He does better as the center of attention, and doesn't seem to like to share his space with other Conures. He has been ok with smaller birds like Cockatiels. Ollie is looking for a woman primary care taker that can understand his behaviors and is willing to put the time in that well be necessary to get him to learn to trust people again. He is a Nanday Conure, so can be loud at times, especially when he is sitting next to your ear.
Ollie is being fostered in Leonardo, NJ and will only be adopted to a forever home within driving distance. Ollie will require at least three visits to the foster home prior to adoption.
