Northern NJ - Introducing Cooper, Rufio, Monty, Bowie and Kent! They are 7-8 month old roosters who were victims of a school hatching project. All 8 of the chicks who hatched turned out to be boys. The other 3 roos all have found homes, now it’s just these sweet 5 boys who are left without homes. Although they can be adopted singularly, it would be preferable if they were in pairs since they are bonded to one another and get along great. The entire group would make a perfect starter bachelor flock for somebody with a big heart who is interested in joining in on the trending and awesome bachelor flock movement.
Also, before anyone asks, YES you CAN keep all these boys together and they would get along great. Something to think about---you don’t need to keep just one flock of birds on your property (unless your zoning ordinance is strict), why not keep both a bachelor flock and your existing flock of Hennie hens and their rooster?
Please consider opening your heart to these boys, and providing them a happy, no-kill, forever home, where they will be treated as if they were one of the family. Christine (the founder of the Microsanctuary), is willing to drive up to a hundred miles to deliver one or more of the boys to their new home(s).
