Gertie

Gertie photo
Dedham, MA – Introducing Gertie! Gertie (ID A280523) is an older Rhode Island Red type of hen. She was found as a stray and looks a little rough around the edges but she is still laying (about 2 eggs a week) and is an avid bug hunter. Gertie is currently co-housed with Bob, one of our handsome roosters. If you are considering adding her to your flock, she would do better with hens with milder personalities as strong-willed ladies might pick on her, due to her condition Gertie has been seen by our vet and tested negative for Salmonella Pullorum and Avian Influenza. Please consider opening your heart to her, and provide her a happy, no-kill, forever home she deserves!
